With the new
trend set by the massive hit Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (SVSC), it seems
now-a-days Telugu heroes are daringly accepting the multi-starrer scripted roles.
Venkatesh, after the hit Malayalam remake ‘Drushyam’, is now after another
box-office hit Hindi movie ‘Oh My God’. Both earlier hit formulae combined,
a multi-starrer and a remake might have loaded off half-the-weight over the
hearts of “Gopala gopala” production team and they officially announced
Venkatesh and Pawan Kalyan in lead roles and
Shriya Sharan as female
lead, with expectations to deliver it as a Sankranthi gift. I had no complaints with the casting or
production as more experienced cast and crew means a better processed product,
may be not the vice versa.
The name OMG just rolled out in one of our
conversations with of a friend of mine from Northern part of India, hence,
immediately flicked my memory. I haven’t watched it, for now I am saving it to watch with fresh eyes as it is going to be no-doubt, a well scripted movie. I guess
the Paresh Rawal’s Kanji Lalji Mehta
suits Venkatesh tear-jerking role and Akshay Kumar’s Krishna Vasudev
Yadav was given to the haughty Pawan Kalyan. Movie basically
questions the beliefs of existence of GOD anyone out there need a story, just
Google it. Few posters are released as teaser but none of them are to my likes, nothing creative and overly photo shopped smooth faces.
