Going through facebook became a source of news to me now- a-days. Latest news is that few official icons of Telangana state being changed considering the history, heritage, culture, traditions, and values of telangana people.  The announced are Deer, Indian roller (also called Palapitta, Blue jay), Jammi also called Shami (Prosopis cineraria) and Cassia flower or tangedu puvvu (Cassia auriculata) as state animal, bird, tree and flower, respectively. 

A Tribute to 'Padma vibhushan' Kaloji on his centenary birthday

Flipping through the past articles, I came across the news that our Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao laid foundation for a memorial ‘Kaloji cultural complex’ at Balasamudram in Hanamkonda and paid tributes to People’s poet, Padma vibhushan- Kaloji Narayana rao aka Kaloji on his centenary birthday. I danced with joy that finally the suppressed Telangana excellence for generations is going to be showcased and I strongly wanted to be a part of it’s endeavour.
