"Drushyam".. Of course..sometimes Visuals Can Be Deceptive

In terms of technical aspects, telugu movies are giving strong competition to foreign films, but with those recycled stories, overly hyped heroism, loud music and meaningless humour, honestly, I lost interest after getting addicted to Hollywood and K-movies and I may give strict opinions so if offended people are out there, stop reading from here.

Then, one day out of sheer boredom, recommended by a friend, I watched the Movie “Drushyam” (captioned visuals can be deceptive). What can I say? Movie tickets are worth the time and money is the best compliment I can give! Unlike others, not a single screen space and dialogue is wasted out of those two-and- half hours of absolute enthrall. Story and screenplay was tight with suspense till the end. Oddly, I liked

Meena in her plump figure with action in top-notch. Venkatesh and Meena’s chemistry complimented each just as they walked out of Chanti and Suryavamsam sets decades ago to rekindle their romance, fast forwarded years later. Tears rolled out uncontrollably at one scene for the injustice of one single mistake ruling out a normal family from happy living. Other social point nicely hidden behind the veils is the safety of the girl child since birth till death. It’s a shame even after placing our mark on moon, mars and even on a comet, today’s era doesn’t promise the security to either a teen or a three-year old. This leper is just not an area restricted, but spread world-wide. Too emotional. Of course Mohanlal’s immersion of role can’t be compared with Venkatesh acting, but the other technical aspects nicely balanced and you will be engrossed with the story in no time. I can give 4.5-stars. A must watch movie.
